Senior Housing

Santa Clara Gardens Heritage House Senior Housing is an integral part of the BAREC (Bay Area Research and Extension Center) redevelopment in the City of Santa Clara. This project is a collaboration effort between Charities Housing and the Santa Clara Methodist Retirement Foundation. The BAREC Reuse Concept Plan envisions a blend of high density affordable senior rental housing and detached single family combined with over 3 acres of open space in a coherent, vital neighborhood development. The two phased, senior housing development, fronting Winchester Boulevard, contains 165 units in 3 floors over community or senior service spaces and a 1/2 sub-grade parking podium. The residential common area fronts the central green, and space for senior services lines the access drive, linking residents with open areas in the development and commercial areas and services along the Winchester Boulevard corridor.
