Charities Housing is pleased to announce that San Antonio Place has been awarded the Mayor's Award for Architecture by the City of Mountain View.

San Antonio Place receives Best Affordable Housing Award
In May 2007, Charities Housing was awarded “Best Affordable Housing- 30 DU/Acre or Less” for San Antonio Place. The award was presented at the “Gold Nugget Awards” 2007 Ceremony by the Western Building Industry. Click here to read about the award.

San Antonio Place celebrated its Grand Opening on April 27, 2006. The Mountain View City Council chose Charities Housing as the developer for the City’s first efficiency studio project in July 1999 through a RFP process. The development will help those who are steadily employed but still do not make enough to afford the high market rents in Silicon Valley. Typical occupants would earn between $15,000 and $33,000 in annual income (20 to 45 percent of the area median income). In addition, seniors living on fixed income, single parents with a child, and couples are also expected to reside within the building. Click here to view a gallery of images.
